A quick look at radon mitigation.

A 57-second guide to the test report, the system plan and the follow-up measurement.

FULL TRANSCRIPT

From a test result to a plan.

Welcome to Pittsburgh Radon Mitigation. A high radon test raises questions. What needs to change? What will it cost? And where do you start?

Start with your test report. Your result, test location, and test dates help explain the next step. A neighbor's result cannot tell you the level in your home.

A common mitigation system draws soil gas from beneath the foundation and vents it outside above the roof. The layout depends on your home.

Before installation, discuss pipe routing, the fan, electrical work, and follow-up testing. Make sure you understand the written scope and warranty.

Already have a system? A noisy fan or a change in the pressure gauge deserves attention. The gauge shows pressure, not your radon level.

Send Pittsburgh Radon Mitigation your location, your test result if you have one, and what you need help with. Use the request form to get started.

Original illustrated explainer with synthetic narration. The diagram shows a common approach, not an installation specification. Media credits.
